Something's chasing me, I can't remember what. I see a man by a bench smiling, he seems nice. Look at this, he says, showing me a large model of a labyrinth propped up on its side. Put your finger in this hole, he suggests, and thrusts his finger in one. I do the same, it's metal and made of coiled wire. We lift off, hanging on by our finger-holds. It's suddenly a long way down and my finger hurts. He explains the design of the labyrinth, each finger-hold is a hub in the labyrinth, they can have been three and five exits, each angled between 0 and 90 degrees, the form of the hub dictates the shape of the surrounding maze. We're now high in the sky, I adjust my finger-hold and we fly onwards.
